Getting Started with BuildShare

BuildShare gives you the prompts. You run them on whatever AI tool you have access to. No special software, no subscriptions, no technical experience needed.

What is BYOC?

BYOC stands for Bring Your Own Compute. It means BuildShare provides the playbook — a sequence of 8 carefully designed prompts — and you run them on whatever AI assistant you already use or can access for free.

Think of it like a recipe book: we give you the recipes (prompts), and you use your own kitchen (AI tool) to make the meal. The recipes work in any kitchen.

Why this approach? Because the AI output is just the starting point. The real work — visiting locations, talking to neighbors, building relationships — is yours. We want you focused on impact, not on technology.

How to Use a Prompt

1

Copy

Open a playbook and click "Copy Prompt" on any step. The prompt is customized with your location and venture name.

2

Paste

Open any AI tool (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and paste the prompt. Hit enter and let the AI work.

3

Act

Read the AI output, then take real-world action. Visit locations, talk to people, build relationships. The AI gives you the starting point — YOU bring it to life.

What to Do with the AI Output

The AI gives you a starting point — not a finish line.

  • Read the AI output critically. Some information may be outdated or inaccurate for your specific area.
  • Use it as a research starting point, then verify with real conversations and real visits.
  • The prompts tell you what real-world actions to take AFTER each AI step. Those actions are where the real venture building happens.
  • Paste your AI output into your BuildShare journal to track your progress and build your venture story.
  • Share your authentic progress — photos of locations you visited, conversations you had, partnerships you built — with the community.

Don't Have an AI Tool?

Don't worry! All the major AI tools listed above have free tiers that are more than sufficient for BuildShare prompts. You just need a web browser and an email address to sign up.

If you're completely new to AI, we recommend starting with ChatGPT — it has the simplest interface and works great with our prompts.
